Painting locations include the village of Gordes in the Luberon Mountains, officially listed as One of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, The Van Gogh asylum where Van Gogh checked himself in after the rupture of his relationship with Gauguin and painted 150 paintings during his one year stay. We will be visiting the exciting Carrières de Lumières,  Cezanne's remarkable studio and the Museum of Lavender.

I've known Robin for years and have always loved and appreciated her work. I was very pleased when she agreed to teach this class for me and share her enthusiasm and passion for painting and teaching.

Here is a slide show of the paintings of Robin Cheers.

I've gathered some information through the years about France and call that information FRENCH FACTS

We will be lodging in the Hotel Concorde just a 5 minute walk to Cours Mirabeau - that charming and quite famous center of Aix

Here is a brief (if 2000 years can ever be brief) history of Aix.

Well, how exactly do you get to Aix en Provence?
1) You can fly into Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and take the fast train (TGV) from the airport to the TGV station in Aix. Then you can take the #40 bus to the city center and a short cab ride to the hotel or just take a cab from the TGV station directly to the hotel. You can also fly into Orly and take a connecting flight to Marseille and from Marseille you can take a cab to the hotel.

2) You can fly into CDG and take a connecting flight to the Marseille Airport. Sounds like the airport in Marseille is a long way from Aix, but it's not. It's only about a 25 minute cab or bus ride..

Let's work together on figuring out your best alternative.
