This will be the fourth group in the past 4 years I have lodging in the Hotel France-Albion in the 9th arrondissement in Paris. It is the most attractive neighborhood to me: you will not find many tourists. Great specialty shops, streets populated by working class Parisians, so many great restaurants, a supermarket across the street and easy access to the Metro.
We are going to take the train one day and visit Giverny. Not only to stroll around Monet's gardens but also to visit the Impressionist Museum in town. We will get to see the exhibit "Color and Light - the Neoimpressionist Henri Edmond-Cross". We are also including 4 day museum passes. You can use that pass to see the show at the Petit Palais "Impressionists in London - French Artists in Exile". There will also be exhibits by Giacometti, Picasso and Egon Schiele while you're there.

I've gathered some information through the years about France and call that information FRENCH FACTS
Gregg Kreutz is an oil painter based in New York City. He teaches at the Art Students League of New York throughout the year and at various workshops around the world. His first book, PROBLEM SOLVING FOR OIL PAINTERS, is now in it's 29th year of publication, and his new book, OIL PAINTING ESSENTIALS, has just hit stores this year.  He is represented by the following galleries: Cooper & Smith in Essex, Connecticut, Gallery Shoal Creek in Austin, Texas and The Garver Gallery in Madison, Wisconsin.  Gregg is also a playwright; he has published three full-length plays with Samuel French.
Here is the genesis of a demonstration Gregg did at a recent workshop.
We will be staying at the France-Albion Hotel. The hotel is in the 9th arrondissement near the Opera, Gare du Nord, Gare St Lazare and is one of the most charming and vibrant neighborhoods in Paris. The single room is a standard room and is small. The double room for single use offers more space.
This is a slide show of some of Gregg's Cityscape paintings.
Some images of our charming neighborhood.
