Touring the Art and Culture of Cuba
I am offering small intimate tours to Cuba for groups of 2-5. Lodging will be arranged at Casa Leo I and Casa Leo II.. The owner of Casa Leo is Leonardo Hechevarria. I've been working with Leonardo for 4 years and have arranged travel to Cuba through him for well over 250 clients in those 4 years. The address of Casa Leo I is Jovellar #52 between Aramburo and Hospital Streets in Central Havana. Casa II is within a 5 minute walk of Casa Leo I.
The houses are located in Central Havana just 2 blocks away from the Malecon (sea wall) and some 6 blocks from 23rd avenue in Vedado so they are very centrally located.

I've visited these sites many times. This is a sample itinerary. You tell me what you want to include and I will arrange it. Want to paint more and tour less? Do you have some special interests you would like to pursue? We can make that work for you.

comments from recent guests at Casa Leo
"Leo's place is incredibly beautiful and he was a marvelous host. He was so helpful and arranged rides and got us reservations and recommended local eating places. We loved our beautiful breezy room. He got us an incredibly good guide and driver." Betty and Peter T, Pennsylvania
“1 World Art Travel President, Phil Levine, was thoughtful and helpful in every way. We were set up with visas, lodging, and information about Cuba...everything ran smoothly. The schedules were tailored to our needs as dancers, so we would be oriented into the folk culture, customs, and historic places to visit. The tour guides were personable and informative, as well as the drivers (who were doctors, architects, engineers...extremely educated). Thank you for a wonderful, wonder filled trip.” Emi and Yasi T. - NYC

To guarantee your place(s) submit a deposit of $300 per person by clicking the Buy Now button below.
That will take you to Paypal where you can pay by credit card if you do not have a Paypal account.
When the page comes up put 'deposit' under 'description', then put $300 in 'item price', click on 'update' then click on 'pay with debit or credit card', enter your information ignoring where it asks for a roommates name. Click on 'pay'. You will then get an immediate confirmation. Easy as pie. If you're paying your balance just put in 'balance' under description. Do not write the word CUBA anywhere on that form - remember there is still an embargo!

A little background: The US responded to the Cuban Revolution by putting in place an embargo on Cuba over 50 years ago. The embargo consisted of economic sanctions and restrictions on Cuban travel and commerce for all people and companies under US jurisdiction. Voices are getting louder about finally ending it but it's not going to happen overnight.
In 1995 President Clinton signed an order lifting some restrictions to travel, but then when George W. Bush took office restrictions were imposed again even adding more serious ones. Included among these was fine of $1 million and 10 years in jail for anyone violating the embargo. But when Obama took office some of the restrictions were again lifted although the embargo remained in place - as it is today. Here is a summary of the timeline.
At a recent meeting in Havana, Cuban and American officials signed an agreement lifting a decades-old ban on commercial air travel between the two countries. What does that mean for us? It is now possible for us to take commercial flights and I will work with you on arranging that. There are commercial flights on several major carriers from JFK and some other locations - just ask.
