Here is a listing of the emails I've sent in the recent past:

Amsterdam is fast approaching. Here is a short list of things you need to know or would like to know.
1) As soon as you book your airline tickets let me know the details: airline, flight number, arrival time - do the same for your flighs departing Amsterdam. If I already have your details no need to send them again. But I will at some point send out the full list when I have it - these things need to be double and triple checked.
2) When I have all that information I will be able to put people together who are arriving on the same flights so you can share a cab to the hotel.
3) Amsterdam is such phenomenal 'walking' city that you might want to bring a nice street map with you. Here's one option https://www.amazon.com/Streetwise-Amsterdam-Map-Laminated-Netherlands/dp/2067229893/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1524057469&sr=8-1&keywords=streetwise+amsterdam&dpID=51iHlk486jL&preST=_SY291_BO1,204,203,200_QL40_&dpSrc=srch
4) You will see on our itinerary that there are 4 afternoons listed as 'free time'. Of course you can paint to your heart's content or you can explore some of the other great things to do and see. I am listing some here (be advised that the itinerary incorrectly states that museumkaart's are included - The Van Gogh Museum special exhibit, the Rijksmuseum and the Mauritshaus in Den Haag are included):
Anne Frank House.. This needs to be acted on soon as it is one of the most popular attractions and also happens to be undergoing some renovation. Here is the link to getting tickets online http://www.annefrank.org/en/Museum/Practical-information/Online-ticket-sales/

I spoke with someone at http://www.travelinsurancereview.net about trip insurance and here's what she said:
"As to your travel insurance question, each insured would need to buy their individual cancellation plan, and they would base the 'trip cost' on their pre-paid, non-refundable trip costs. So, if the workshop fee is non-refundable and the airline tickets are non-refundable, then insure the cost of both. If they will be staying at a hotel with non refundable room policies, they'll want to insure that as well.
Of course, your clients can use the trip insurance comparison tool on our site to compare plans and prices too."
Don’t check in for your flight at the last minute as that’s the top cause of lost or misplaced luggage. Put your name on all luggage and remove all tags from previous trips. Carry your most precious possessions on board with you such as money, credit cards, wallet and anything else that you couldn’t live without should your luggage be lost. Lastly, make sure that you get a claim stub for every bag - this helps if your luggage needs to be traced. In my 20 years of organizing workshops there have been only two or three cases of lost luggage..
People are asking about traveling with paints and issues at the airport. Read these two articles:
http://www.gamblincolors.com/newsletters/studionotes14.html from Gamblin Paints
http://www.paintingfrance.com/paints.htm from my site A friend who just got back from international air travel said it’s okay to fly with Gamsol odorless mineral spirits, which has a high Flashpoint of 145 degrees, and also Turpenoid Natural, which is non-flammable.
If you would like to place a simple notice in your luggage notifying the TSA inspectors that your art materials are safe for travel you can copy and print out this one:
