This all started in 1989 when I took a month off from my job as Development Director for a private school in Colorado. I took my French easel and started exploring Europe. I fell in love with France, and my first website was paintingfrance.com. Of course, that needed to change when I started organizing workshops in other locations: Over my 34 years of developing this business model, I've organized for arts organizations like the Pastel Society of America, National Association of Women Artists, the Denver Academy, and the Art Students League of NY (ASL). For the ASL-NY, I've organized for Gregg Kreutz to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and Paris, France; Mary Beth McKenzie to Dublin, Venice twice, and Vienna; for Frank O'Cain to Paris and Provence; Rick Brosen to Amsterdam several times, Rome, and Florence; Costa Vaviakis to France and Florence.
I've worked with private artist-instructors too numerous to mention to Athens and Santorini, Greece, Lisbon and Sesimbra, Portugal, Cuba - no fewer than 12 times, Rome, Florence, Venice, Tuscany and Umbria, Italy. Buenos Aires, Argentina and Uruguay. Cartagena, Colombia. The Cotswolds in England, Amsterdam. Paris, Normandy, Brittany, La Rochelle, Aix en Provence, St Remy and Burgundy, France.
